Software Process Assessment - Oxford Software Engineering's business driven approach
Many organisations wish to assess the capability of their software development activities to identify opportunities for improvement. A common approach is to use the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model (CMM).
The recognised CMM assessment is the CMM Based Appraisal for Internal Process Improvement (CBA-IPI).

- Healthcheck
A rapid look at the health of an organisation's software processes
- Registered CBA-IPI Assessment
A CBA-IPI assessment led by an authorised Lead Assessor, which can be registered with the SEI.
- Business Driven Assessment
An assessment, using aspects of the CBA-IPI method, but enhanced to provide a business focus. Essentially this is an assessment tailored to an organisations specific needs. Delivering a process improvement strategy and detailed improvement actions.A number of industries have recognised the power of the assessments employed within the software sector.
