PirL - Oxford Software Engineering's tactical improvement solution
OSEL's PirL is a bottom-up process improvement technique, it addresses real problems and generates the buy-in from the developers and engineers; it provides tactical improvement solutions with rapid payback as part of their everyday job.
When combined with OSEL's Managed SEPG it provides strategic drivers too, these can then be addressed by OSEL's TCM.
PirL is ideal for an organisation, which wants to test the waters with improvement or can't initiate or resource a process improvement programme.
PirL can be installed into an organisation, which does not have a process improvement programme. Developers and engineers make improvements not because there is a process improvement programme but because it helps them to be more effective and efficient in their every day work.
OSEL installs and operates PirL until the organisation is able to operate it unaided. Training and mentoring is provided as part of the installation process.
